Role and Responsibilities: The BPO Practice Head is a P&L role and has overall responsibility for managing and growing the practice. Responsibilities include driving sales, solutions, operations delivery, client relationship management, people management, risk and governance.
Qualifications: Significant experience required; must have a proven track record of running a large scale BPO portfolio in Retail Banking with P&L responsibilities. Background must include demonstrated ability to manage sales, grow revenue, and build a business practice. Prior experience must include operational responsibility for and understanding of retail banking BPO product offerings.
- At least 15 years’ experience, which must include assignments in retail banking operations followed by retail banking BPO management, sales and executive leadership assignments
- Pre-sales / solutioning experience is desirable since the role will involve business development.
- Exposure to IT Platforms and consulting experience is a clear advantage.
- Domain knowledge in Retail Banking products
- Ability to build consensus
- Excellent communication skills and high level of maturity.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with large, multi-functional teams in various geographies
- Superior relationship management and networking skills for both internal and external customer/s.
- Excellent client handling skills, with ability to present and articulate various points of view
- Strategic orientation and the ability to translate strategy into action plans
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to solve problems.
- Knowledge of quality and quality tools such as lean and six-sigma is desirable.
- Ability to fore relationships across and throughout the internal organization
- Thorough understanding and ability to lead in a technology-centric organization
- Capable and comfortable with advisory and consulting approaches and practice
- BA required, MBA or CA/CPA from premier institute preferred; banking certifications desirable and a plus
