Lead the Tech Innovation Breakthrough Ideas team to experiment with new business models and technologies that may lead to disruptions of to our clients’ offerings. Coordinate, prioritize, and inspire the team to develop and test breakthrough ideas. Ensure the team has ample opportunities to expose technology innovations to business processes, capabilities and ecosystems to create innovation opportunities that either create disruptive value to clients or drive step-change operational performance improvements. Responsible for coordinating team members and stakeholders, including clients, internal business process owners, and executive management. Promote the team and its successes and gain the financial, executive, and operational support necessary to drive breakthrough ideas forward to maturity.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and operate the team, maximizing the effectiveness of each member as well as the overall team
- Establish a fast-paced, agile team process and culture that can rapidly iterate and/or pivot to find and build breakthrough ideas
- Evangelize team results, gathering and increasing support and participation by stakeholders
- Foster a creative team environment and culture, ensure access to external and internal resources as necessary, and maximize the level of innovative think time within the team
- Develop and grow industry, vendor, and venture collaborations and partnerships to further the technology and innovation reach and scope of the team
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead an innovation-focused organization
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience, with strong competencies in design, technology integration and product development
- Entrepreneurial mind set with a balance of technology and business experience
- Experience with using the Lean Start-up method, including Business Model Canvas, Customer Development, Agile Development, and Minimum Viable Products (MVP)
- Hands-on innovator that leads by example
- Outgoing and engaging personality, able to engage others and evangelize the benefits of innovation
- Excellent communication abilities in English
Location
- Virtual position, work remotely
- Up to 25% travel to attend collaborates with stakeholders; attend workshops, conferences, training, etc.
